A man has died after he was set on fire, along with two friends, by a man known to them at a Woodville West home during the week.
The three victims, who were doused with a flammable liquid, all suffered serious burns in the horrific incident that occurred on Calendar Place just before 4am on Wednesday.
Todd Bradmore, 31, of Woodville West was in a critical condition throughout the week, but died from his injuries on Friday night.
Mr Bradmore’s family and friends took to Facebook to share tributes, remembering him as a “hell of a good man” and someone who “had a heart of gold.”
“I have many fun memories with Toddy as teenagers and young adults,” one friend said.
“Until we see each other again, I love you,” said another.
A family member wrote how her “heart was breaking” as Mr Bradmore’s life “was taken too soon.”
‘My thoughts are with you and with the family in these difficult times. Sending hugs,” replied a friend.
The blaze was quickly contained but the man and two women, aged 28 and 27, suffered serious burns in the incident, and were all taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Police tracked the suspect, a 32-year-old Woodville West man to New South Wales, where he war arrested at 7pm on Wednesday night.
He was taken to a hospital in Sydney where he remains under police guard.
Originally, the man was charged with attempted murder. Following the man’s death, the charge is expected to be upgraded to murder.
It is unknown when the 32-year-old will be extradited back to SA.
On Wednesday, a local resident who did not wish to be identified told The Advertiser he woke to a woman yelling for help.
“She came down the street banging on my door,” he said.
He said her hands were burned and she had burns to her face.
