Teen L-plate motorcycle rider clocked at shocking extreme speed at Whyalla

A teen will face court after he was reported for aggravated extreme speed last night on the Eyre Peninsula.
At 10.50pm on Monday, a police patrol officer was conducting speed detection duties on Elliott St, Whyalla, when he recorded a Kawasaki motorcycle travelling at 122 km/h in a 60 zone.
The motorcycle was safely stopped and checks revealed the rider was the holder of a learners permit.
The rider, a 17-year-old teenager from Whyalla Stuart, was reported for aggravated extreme speed.
The teen will not be able to hold a driving permit for 12 months and his motorcycle was impounded for 28 days.
He was summoned to appear in court at a later date.
High range drink driver busted
A high range drink driver was caught at Dernancourt on Tuesday morning.
Just after 2am, police saw a blue BMW travelling along Lower North East Rd and decided to pull the car over for a random breath test.
A 49-year-old Hectorville man was submitting to a breath test and he allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.240 – almost five times the limit.
He was reported for drink driving and lost his licence on the spot for 12 months.
His car was impounded for 28 days and he was summoned to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
Man dies after Edwardstown crash
A cyclist has died after being involved in a tragic crash last month.
On June 23, emergency services were called to Towers Terrace at Edwardstown after a cyclist lost control and crashed on to the roadway.
The rider, a 54-year-old Edwardstown man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
On Monday the man died as a result from his injuries.
This is the 54th life lost on SA roads this year.
