Augusta Highway was closed between Blyth and Barunga Gap roads while Major Crash Investigation Branch officers examined the site of the collision.

It follows a separate crash on the Augusta Highway near Snowtown that cost the life of a 79-year-old woman when her car collided with a truck on Thursday.

Sunday’s crash came after a 21-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car and killed at Aldinga Beach on Saturday night.

The deaths took the number of lives lost this year on South Australian roads to 51, compared with 66 at the same time last year.
