Major Crime detectives have scoured scrub in Port Lincoln after a former reality TV star was arrested and charged with murder.
Police searched the scrub on Saturday after the former TV contestant, whose identity has been suppressed, was accused of murdering her partner 7News reports.
It emerged on Friday that a 34-year-old Port Lincoln woman had been arrested and charged with murder following the discovery of a man’s body inside a home in Port Lincoln. She appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday and was refused bail.
Emergency services were called to the Flinders Highway property about 3.25pm on Thursday, police said, after reports of a “small fire”.
Suppression orders are in place for the identity of the man and the woman.
SA Police Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott, speaking on Friday afternoon, said the man and woman were in a relationship.
“It is still very early stages in this investigation … there are a number of inquiries to be made and there are a number of things we still don’t know,” he said.
