A reckless driver has been caught on camera crossing double white lines on a blind corner to overtake three vehicles in the Adelaide Hills, with police slamming the act as “selfish.”

The Mitsubishi was captured weaving between lanes to overtake two cars while approaching a blind corner in Strathalbyn on Sunday afternoon.

Zoey Stephens, whose sister captured the footage, was driving home from work when she noticed the car driving dangerously close behind her.

She urged her sister in the passenger seat to record the driver who then overtook not only her own vehicle but also a motorbike in front.

“That would have killed us all if someone was coming the other way,” she told 7NEWS.

“You can’t see on that road, there’s no way they would have stopped.”

Locals were horrified over the incident describing it as “dreadful” and “putting everybody at risk.”

Police are currently investigating the incident, condemning the driver’s “atrocious” and “selfish” actions.

They also pointed out the dangers of reckless driving which has been a “contributing factor in 12 lives lost on South Australian roads in 2024.”
