A notorious Rebels bikie who made headlines for bashing a sex offender in prison and then posting the vision online has died suddenly in hospital.
Bradley Daniele was aged only 29 when he died over the weekend.
He is understood to have suffered a heart attack on Saturday night and died at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Sunday morning.
Daniele, known for his prominent Rebels tattoo which stretched across his face, had been in the media several times for relatively petty crimes.
However, he jumped to prominence when he bashed convicted sex offender Hamzeh Bahrami on April 20, 2019 at the City Watchhouse.
Bahrami had only recently been arrested at the time of the bashing and charged with sexually assaulting a young girl at a public toilet block in a Blair Athol reserve.
That crime received significant attention because Bahrami’s victim was not known to him and was lured into the toilets where she was abused.
Daniele’s lawyer alleged that police had pointed Bahrami out to the bikie.
Video footage later posted to Facebook showed Daniele confronting Bahrami in a shower block and throwing numerous punches until both men were pepper sprayed by police.
Daniele posted the footage on Facebook and said he was not sorry for bashing Bahrami.
Daniele once the told The Advertiseroutside court that he did have a regret – not causing more harm to the Bahrami.
For the assault Daniele had a further two months added to a 13 month, five week sentence for dangerous driving.
