Bikie beats up sex offender in prison

A notorious Rebels bikie who posted a video of himself bashing a self-confessed child sex offender on Facebook has returned to social media to thank his supporters.

Bradley Daniele’s latest Facebook comment came only hours after police revealed a review into security arrangements in watch houses in Adelaide was underway after the initial video post went viral on social media.

The video posted on Monday shows Daniele, 26, approaching Hamzeh Bahrami, 33, who cowers in the corner of a shower stall while on remand on April 20.

He launches a frenzied attack which lasts for several seconds before a police officer deploys pepper spray into the stall.

Daniele stumbles away holding his eyes and calmly lies down on the floor as more police enter the room. Bahrami remains standing but clutches his face.

Daniele was charged with assault over the bashing but was unapologetic, defending his actions on social media and saying he was a fundamentally “good person”.

“To everyone that actually knows me, knows that I’m a good person and will help anyone out,” he wrote.

“Yes, I have made some mistakes in my life … but who hasn’t done wrong in there life? (sic)

“One thing I will not stand for is kids being abused physically or mentally and I will do this over and over again if I had the chance.

“I think its time people stop judging bikies and people to worry ‘bout the real issues in life like getting pedos off the street. If I go to jail for this I will not lose any sleep!”

Daniele will face court again later this month on the assault charge.

Bahrami has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl whom he lured into a Blair Athol Reserve toilet block on April 3.

Within three hours of the video being posted, it had received hundreds of positive responses praising the attack.

Yesterday, Daniele returned to Facebook to thank “everybody for the kind messages and support”.

“I’m not here to spread violence or promote anything bad,” he said.

“I’m only trying to spread the word about making the streets safe, so kids can go to the playground without having to be scared of bad things happening. We live in one of the best countries in the world and this stuff shouldn’t be happening. Much love to use all.”

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said a review of the incident was underway and it was possible Daniele could face fresh charges for uploading the footage.

Police said security measures at the Watch House were also being reviewed.

Last week, The Advertiser reported that the pending court hearing had done nothing to dampen Daniele’s plans to head to Queensland to celebrate the Rebels’ 50-year anniversary.

Complete with distinctive Rebels tattoo on his forehead, Daniele filmed himself drinking alcohol on the way to the weekend celebrations on the Gold Coast.

Daniele is no stranger to law enforcement, having taunted police for using an outdated photo while he was on the run in 2017 and blocking him from commenting on their Facebook page.

This year, after another stint on the run, Daniele handed himself in to Port Augusta police. He was sentenced to more than three months for breaching home detention.
