A 54-year-old Port Lincoln man has been arrested and charged with a number of serious firearm offences this morning.

A Port Lincoln man has been charged with serious firearm offences this morning after police found a number of unregistered firearms inside his Bomar Street property.
Port Lincoln patrols searched the 53-year-old’s house about 4:20pm on Tuesday February 28 where they located three unregistered and insecure firearms, as well as insecure ammunition.
The man was arrested and granted police bail to appear in Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on May 29.
It comes just over a week after an alleged Comanchero gang member was charged with firearms and drug offences, with police saying they found a loaded gun, meth, thousands in cash and phony driver’s licences at an address in Plympton Park on February 15.
Crime Gangs Task Force and STAR Operations officers alleged the man threw a bag containing a loaded firearm onto a neighbouring roof.
Police searched the home and found a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine, $20,000 in cash and numerous fake driver’s licences.
The Middleton man was arrested for possessing a firearm without a licence, traffic in a controlled drug and was refused bail.
