Police make arrest following drug bust in Blair Athol
A 41-year-old man has been arrested after 18.5kg of dried cannabis was discovered in a Blair Athol home.

A man has been arrested following a police raid of a Blair Athol home that uncovered 18.5kgs of dried cannabis.
Police searched the home on September 7 and located more than 10 bags of dried cannabis and large amount of hydroponic equipment including transformers, light shades and a carbon filter.
A 41-year-old man from Blair Athol was arrested and charged with cultivate cannabis, possess prescribed equipment and trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis.
He was bailed and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
The bust follows an arrest made on Monday in connection with a drug raid in the Adelaide Hills.
On Monday, detectives from Serious & Organised Crime branch went to an address in Cherry Gardens following an investigation into MDMA, also known as ecstasy.
Police allegedly found a manual pill press machine, several punches/dies, binding agents, various items used in the tableting of ecstasy, 50 grams of MDMA crystals and over 300 pressed ecstasy tablets.
A 22-year-old man from Cherry Gardens was arrested and charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.
Officer in charge of serious and organised crime branch, Detective superintendent Billy Thompson said backyard operators were not chemists and their activity placed users at extreme risk.
“This seizure demonstrates that detectives from Serious & Organised Crime Branch will continue to pursue those responsible for trafficking harmful drugs,” he said.
The man is expected to appear in court in November.
