Two men are on the run after an axe was used during a robbery at a retail outlet in Rundle Mall.
Police were called to Footlocker about 9.15am Wednesday after a middle-aged man was seen wielding an axe and threatening employees.
He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his 40s with a grey beard and medium build.
He was wearing red shorts, a black hooded jumper and black cap.
The two men allegedly stole a shirt and left, with police now on a manhunt to find the two assailants.
Close to half-a-dozen officers were at the building conducting an investigation, which included looking through the store’s CCTV.
It comes after an employee at Rebel sports store in the Mall was knocked unconscious, allegedly by a 15-year-old girl shoplifting.
The Youth Court on Tuesday heard a stool was used to injured the employee, who was rushed to hospital.
The girl was denied bail.
