A 41-year-old man charged with two counts of alleged attempted murder has fronted court for the first time after a shocking stabbing on a Munno Para street on Friday night.
Bradley Height, of Blakeview, appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday in front of Magistrate Edward Stratton-Smith with no application for bail.
Mr Height was arrested on Friday after he allegedly stabbed his ex-partner and her new boyfriend – in front of onlookers – outside a home on Coventry Rd about 6.30pm.
Neighbours said the man was detained by witnesses at the scene.
Police said the woman was visiting her mother when the defendant allegedly arrived at the house wielding a knife.

The two victims, both aged 40, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries – with the man being treated for an abdomen injury while the woman sustained a cut to her arm.
On Monday, Mr Stratton-Smith adjourned Mr Height’s matter until September to allow for the prosecution’s “comprehensive investigation”.
In an unrelated incident on Sunday night, a 38-year-old Paralowie man was rushed to hospital after allegedly being stabbed in the stomach at the Manhattan Motor Inn just before 10pm.
By the time police arrived, the suspect had already left the scene and is still on the run.
Police said the incident was not random, and it is understood the people involved are known to each other.
CIB detectives and crime scene investigators examined the scene and investigations are continuing.
