A man will face court over an alleged hit-run crash last week that put a 72-year-old cyclist in hospital.

A man has been arrested and charged after a hit-run crash in Mount Gambier last week that left an elderly cyclist with serious injuries.
Last Wednesday, police were called to the intersection of Crouch Street North and Tolmie Street, Mount Gambier, around 10.30am after reports of a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle.
The cyclist, a 72-year-old Mount Gambier man, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The vehicle involved in the incident, described as a grey Mitsubishi 380 sedan, allegedly left the scene before officers arrived, police said.
Following investigations, a 42-year-old Limestone Coast man was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with driving while disqualified, failing to give way, causing harm by dangerous driving, leaving an accident scene after causing harm and failing to report a crash, police said.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Mt Gambier Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
