A 71-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after his car hit a tree near Gawler on Tuesday evening.
SA Police said the car crashed at Gawler River at about 5.50pm.
The driver suffered critical injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
A passenger in the car was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Two Wells Road was closed between Wilkinson Road and Hayman Road for several hours but has since reopened.
