Former reality television star and SANFL footballer Sebastian Guilhaus has broken his silence after being charged with a significant drug bust.
The Married At First Sight contestant and OnlyFans creator took to Instagram Sunday night to say he was “settling into the reality of this situation”.
Mr Guilhaus, 35, who was arrested at his Croydon home where police also seized almost a 1kg of methamphetamine, with a street value of at least $90,000 described the experience as “an extremely traumatic week and a bit.”
“I’m just focusing on all of the controllables, forging a new daily routine,” he said.
“Training two to four hours a day, what I’m eating, I’m starting to battle my ADHD head on and all my other mental health issues with all the things that I seem to not be able to do and maintain.
“I have been thrust right into maybe a bit of trauma rewiring which is a positive thing.
“Overall I guess life works for us, not to us, so I will overcome this hurdle and it’s a period of growth and healing and getting on with life so that’s what I’ll be doing.
“I’m not going to comment on the situation because it is ongoing, it could be ongoing for quite awhile so I don’t want to impede that process.”
Mr Guilhaus appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday where he was released on bail with strict conditions.
In the three part Instagram story, the topless waiter and former Woodville-West Torrens 198cm ruckman thanked friends and family for their support, especially those who had “gone above and beyond”.
Mr Guilhaus said he would gradually get back to everyone who had sent him messages.
“I also want to apologise of course, for all of the collateral stress I have caused to family and friends,” he said.
“I’m trying to, over the next day or two, just connect and make sure family are okay and all the things that I need to do to continue on over the next little while.
Mr Guilhaus has yet to plead to one count of trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug at Keswick on July 3 this year.
