Police say the girls took alcohol from a bottle shop on Liberator Dr at Paralowie about 9pm, before they left in a silver Toyota Camry sedan.

Checks showed the car had been stolen from a Craigmore home earlier on Monday afternoon.

The PolAir police helicopter tracked the car moving south on the North-South motorway.

The stolen car was spotted on South Rd at Ridleyton about 7.45pm by police, who pursued the vehicle onto Chief St, Torrens Rd and the North-South Motorway before PolAir took over.

The Mercedes was tracked onto Salisbury Hwy, Kings Rd, Bolivar Rd and Waterloo Corner Rd before it stopped and passengers got out of the car.

The car then headed in a southerly direction at excessive speeds and ran multiple red lights, police say.

Eventually, the car headed towards Churchill Rd and back to Torrens Rd, before it stopped on War Memorial Dr.
