A driver ended up with a different kind of egg on his face this Easter weekend after crashing his car in the city and blowing a whopping blood alcohol reading.

A driver’s Good Friday ended quite badly when he crashed his car in the city and returned a whopping blood alcohol reading – nearly four times the legal limit.
Just before 1.30am, police were called to Frome St, near the corner of Angas St, after bystanders reported a car had smashed into a tree.
Police rendered first aid to a 27-year-old Athelstone man who was uninjured, while his car had to be towed.
However, he was given a breath test and blew 0.188, more than three times the legal limit of 0.05.
The man immediately lost his licence for 12 months, and police reported him for drink driving and aggravated driving without due care.
He has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a country driver also lost his licence on Friday morning after he was pinged travelling 158 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
At 10am, police pulled over a 28-year-old Andrews Farm man travelling south on Mallala Rd.
He was disqualified for six months and fined $1939, while his black Jeep was impounded for 28 days.
