Man flown to RAH in critical condition after horror Riverland crash

Four people have been hospitalised with one in a critical condition after a serious crash at Stockyard Plain in the Riverland.
Just before 10.15am this morning, police and emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway after reports of a crash between a Honda sedan and a Ford Ranger towing a caravan.
The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old man from Oakden, was flown to Adelaide with life threatening injuries.
He remains in a critical condition at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Three others involved in the crash were transported to Waikerie Health Service.
One of those was the 24-year-old’s passenger - who was not seriously injured in the crash.
The driver of the Ford, a 74-year-old man from New South Wales, and his passenger were not seriously injured, and they were taken to the local hospital for treatment.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Sturt Highway is closed and is expected to remain closed for at least another hour with traffic being diverted via Zigler Road and Sturt and Hunter Road.
