Boy, 4, dies in Far North rollover as woman and two other children are flown to Adelaide with serious injuries

A little boy has died and other children were flown to Adelaide after a shocking rollover in the state’s Far North.

A four-year-old boy has died after a car carrying four people crashed and rolled in the Far North.

Just after 8pm, police and ambulance officers were called to Gammon Ranges Road, at Copley, after a passing motorist came across a gold Holden sedan which had rolled.

There were reports some occupants had been thrown from the vehicle.

One of the passengers, a four-year-old boy from the Far North, died at the scene.

The driver, a 44-year-old woman and two passengers, a nine-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl were flown to Adelaide with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

Major crash officers attended the scene on Wednesday morning and it is expected the road will be closed for most of the day.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The boy’s death is the 38th life lost on our roads this year compared to 51 for this time last year.
