Six alleged crime gang members charged over a brawl inside one of Adelaide’s largest suburban shopping centres have been asked not to appear in court over “concerns” about them gathering together.

On Thursday, two of the six men, Petar Jacek Jurlina-Lisowski, 23, of Morphett Vale, and Aldinga Beach man Christopher Aaron Pedlar, 40, appeared inside the Christies Beach Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Oliver Koehn excused the remaining men – Dillon John Jordan, 31, Damien Lee Rideout, 32, of South Plympton, Cory John Brian, 28, of Noarlunga Downs, and Dylan James Wenham, 31.

All six men have not entered a plea to a single count each of affray over a fight in June.

A marked police car and two unmarked vehicles were parked outside the court building before and after the scheduled morning hearing.

The court heard Crime Gang detectives had been in contact with the defendants to ask them to not attend the court building – some who did turn up to court were asked to leave at the door.

Police prosecution told the court the allegations against them included the fact the men were all allegedly members of “various” crime gangs.

Police have said it will be alleged that at least two of the men are members of the Comanchero Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

Defence counsel for Mr Wenham, of Aldinga Beach, said her client was contacted because there was “some concern about the co-accused in the matter gathering together”.

The court heard she was instructed by her client he was not a member of any gang.

The men were arrested after an incident inside Colonnades Shopping Centre in Noarlunga.

It will be alleged that on Saturday, June 30, seven men engaged in an affray that allegedly involved some arming themselves with chairs, scissors and a baton.

Tim Clarke, for Mr Jordan, of Reynella, applied to have his client’s supervision on bail removed, so he would just need to adhere to any no contact conditions.

Each defendant’s bail agreements include a clause banning them from communicating with any person they know to be a member of an organised criminal group.

They are also not to communicate with each other.

The matter was adjourned to a future date, but each man was given a separate date from one another.

They were all remanded on continuing bail until their next court date – where they were excused from attendance, but granted permission to attend via phone.
