A 62-year-old man will reappear in court over allegedly sexually assaulting a minor

A 62-year-old northern suburbs man was remanded to reappear in court over several alleged sexual assault offences against a minor.

A northern suburbs man will reappear in court over allegedly sexually assaulting a minor last week.

Police said the offence allegedly occurred at a Elizabeth Park home on Friday April 19.

Following an investigation, a 62-year-old man was arrested on Saturday and charged with rape, gross indecency and unlawful sexual intercourse with a person younger than 14.

Police did not disclose any details about the victim or the circumstances relating to the alleged assault.

He appeared before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday, April 22, and was remanded to reappear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court on July 30.

An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
