GOING FOR GOLD

World champion Cox went through the first qualifying round with a score of 76.78, sixth best of the 10 qualifiers on the day.

She had the third fastest run (28.94s) during qualification and the fifth highest turn score (48.4) and ninth best air score (12.99). In the final Cox ended up finishing fifth.

OLYMPIC HISTORY

Cox made her debut at the Vancouver Games in 2010 and then competed in Sochi, Russia, four years later. That makes Korea her third Winter Olympics.

Cox was a young skier of just 15 when she made her Winter Olympic debut. That made her one of the youngest Australians to compete in this arena. This is not surprising given Cox has been skiing since she was a toddler.

Britteny Cox has high hopes of success at the Winter Olympics.

OLYMPIC RESULTS

Cox finished 23rd in Vancouver at her first Winter Olympics. On a steep learning curve, Cox then produced a fifth place at her next Games in Sochi four years ago.

ON A ROLL

Cox was the star of the 2016/2017 Moguls World Cup, winning gold in all but four of the 11 events. She is considered a major contender to medal at the Winter Games.

PIECE OF HISTORY

Cox created history when she became the first Australian to win a moguls skiing world crown. The historic event took place in Sierra Nevada, Spain, in early 2017.
