The match was broadcast live on advertiser.com.au, kicking off The Advertiser and The Messenger’s season-long live streaming of weekly state league football.

Delean, meanwhile, amassed 15 disposals to go with his 4.1 during the round four battle against Glenelg.

He was given plenty of support inside 50 with Jake Agnew, Benny Barrett and Phoenix Hargrave all booting two goals each.

The Panthers were behind at the end of the first quarter, trailing 3.5 (23) to 2.0 (12), before taking a five-point lead into half-time.

South then booted 6.1, while holding the visitors to 1.1 in the third term and held onto the lead to eventually claim the big victory.

Panthers under-16 coach Brett Hudson was proud of his players after a shock loss to West Adelaide the week before.

“We played not great last week so it was really good for the boys to bounce back the way they did,” Hudson said.

“Even though we got behind early it was a really good team effort.

“We thought they (Glenelg) probably could’ve got away from us a little bit more than they did.

“But we just thought if we stuck what we were trying to do it would start to turn around for us at some point.”

Kaiden Adkin and Lucas Camporeale were Glenelg’s top possession winners with 22, while captain Ben Ridgway (21 disposals) battled hard.

South Adelaide will be hoping to continue its winning form when it takes on second-place Norwood away on Easter Thursday (April 1).

Glenelg, who now sits fifth on percentage, is eyeing a return to the winners’ list when it plays West Adelaide (seventh) away, also on Easter Thursday.
