South Australia’s country areas have produced some of the most storied players in the state’s football history.

Now a new generation of regional talents has taken to the field for day one of the School Sport SA Sapsasa Country Football Carnival.

With wet and windy weather testing the young players’ abilitites, The Advertiser live streamed 20 matches from two ovals on Monday.

Overall, 60 games from the three-day competition from Monday, May 30 to Wednesday, June 1 will be live streamed on advertiser.com.au.

With boys and girls Year 5 and 6 competitions being played simultaneously for the first time, 40 teams from 20 regional districts will be on show at Barrett Reserve, West Beach.

It follows The Advertiser’s live stream of the Sapsasa Metro Football Carnival last week.
