Titles have been decided today after the final day of the Sapsasa Metro Football Carnival was played out on Friday. Watch full replays of every live streamed match.

The competition was tight, fierce and fair – now the winners of the 2022 Sapsasa Metro Football Carnival have been crowned.

After three days of matches at the School Sport SA boys and girls tournaments – 60 of which were live streamed here by The Advertiser – some teams still could not be split by the end of play on Friday.

In girls division one, Port and South West both finished on 25 premiership points to share the spoils in the competition which featured shortened clashes in a lightning carnival-style fixture.

It came after the two sides played out a nailbiter in their head-to-head clash where Port prevailed by less than a kick.

East Adelaide and South West also tied for the championship in the boys division one, as did City South and Para Districts in girls division two.

City South was a rare outright winner in boys division two as it finished one premiership point ahead of runner-up Southern Valley.

Attention now turns to the Sapsasa Country Football Carnival – also set to be live streamed by The Advertiser – which takes place from Monday, May 30 to Wednesday, June 1.
