Newton Jaguars and Metro Jets were both looking for their first wins of the season when they met in Round 4 of the Netball SA Premier League on Friday night.
The Advertiser exclusively lived streamed both the premier clash and the reserves matches from Netball SA Stadium.
And it was the Jets who kickstarted their season in the main match, prevailing 55-43 over the Jaguars.
Metro led by one shot at the first break and extended that lead to six goals at half-time before Newton fought back with a 13-10 third term.
But the final quarter was all the Jets, as they closed out well to take a 12-goal victory and their first Premier League points of the season.
In the reserves contest, Metro produced a big second half to beat Newton 47-37.

PREVIEW: HOW JAGS JUNIOR SHOT INTO NATIONAL SELECTION
When Sienna Burns received an email saying she had been selected in the Australian under-17 netball squad, it’s safe to say it took a while to sink in.
The Newton Jaguars rising star even admits she thought it could somehow be a mistake having never before received national selection.
But when the official squad announcement was broadcast by Netball Australia this month, those doubts quickly turned to joy.
“It wasn’t really something I thought would happen honestly … I was shocked,” said Burns, whose stellar play at April’s National Netball Championships earned her the Australian selection.
“It was very emotional and exciting. At nationals there were so many talented, amazing girls and I just looked at them and thought ‘wow’, so to be picked among them is a great honour.”
The 16-year-old midcourter, who was one of 12 South Australians selected across the national under-17 and under-19 squads, hoped her inclusion in the talent program would be an important step towards achieving a dream of playing top level netball.
Players picked in both age groups will take part in Netball SA training camps later this year to develop their on and off court skills and be exposed to elite match day experiences.
She thanked her Jaguars coaches Alana House and Robyn Crack for their role in her development as well as her mum Jo – a Premier League title-winner with Tango in 1998.
“I was always with mum at the netball courts growing up whether she was playing or coaching,” said Burns, a Year 11 student at Gleeson College.
“Watching her play and the professionals on TV, you think the world of them, and then to be on that pathway now is super exciting.
“I don’t really believe it yet, I still don’t think it’s sunk in.”
Burns hoped Newton could secure its first wins of the season in both the Premier League and reserves when the Jaguars take on Metro Jets in Round 4.
Both matches will be exclusively live streamed from Netball SA Stadium here on advertiser.com.au beginning with Burns in the reserves at 7pm, followed by the senior clash at 8.30pm.
