Matrics have heaped more pain on cellar-dweller Garville after a commanding Netball SA Premier League performance on Friday night.
With the Premier League and reserves matches live streamed by The Advertiser, the Stars recorded a 74-40 victory over the winless Greys at Netball SA Stadium.

Matrics – equal top of the ladder – put in a dominant and physical display on the court as they opened up an early nine-goal lead and did not look back.
Cameron Golding lead the scoring with 40 goals for the Stars while Lauren Frew (22) and Stephanie Sarro (12) also contributed. Jacoba Clough recorded 31 for the Greys.
In the reserves clash, Matrics also got the best of Garville in a 64-50 win.
Next Friday’s live streamed matches of the week pit Matrics against old rival Contax in a top of the table Round 8 battle.

Matrics are embracing the challenges in 2022 after a winning, but far from comfortable start to the season, according to coach Jacqui Illman.
Last season’s grand finalists will take on Garville in The Advertiser’s live stream of the Netball SA Premier League double-header this Friday night.
While Matrics sit equal top of the ladder with a 5-1 win loss record, the campaign has not been all smooth sailing.
An impressive opening round win over rival Contax started the season strongly, before a loss to rising South Adelaide in round four and a two-goal come-from-behind victory over Oakdale on Monday night showed there could be chinks in the powerhouse club’s armour.
“It’s always good to be challenged,” Illman said.
“You obviously learn a lot more when you’re challenged and when you lose as well.
“So we’re trying to take the positives and learnings from those experiences and hopefully it’ll make us better off at the back end of the season.”
Matrics have also been forced to retool following a couple of key departures at the end of last season along with star shooter Lucy Austin’s ascent to the Thunderbirds.
The likes of youngster Lauren Frew and recruit Cameron Golding have stepped up in her absence.
Illman was proud of her side’s ability to grind out a win over Oakdale last time out.
Matrics will now come in as heavy favourite against winless Garville on Friday night, but Illman said she expected a strong contest.
“Garville are a super proud club and I know they’ll be keen to get back out and redeem themselves,” Illman said.
“They’ll definitely come out strong and hard, so we won’t be taking them lightly at all.”
The Greys fell to Newton Jaguars on Monday night – their fifth straight defeat to start the season following a preliminary final appearance in 2021.
