South Cairns Cutters coach Alison Daniels said her side will need to shake off its third-quarter blues if it wants to keep up with Sharks in Wednesday’s Cairns Netball Association Senior Division 1 clash.
Daniels said her side would need to be at the top of their game to challenge the reigning premiers, who are undefeated through four rounds in 2020.
“I think we have the third quarter blues,” she said.
“That’s where we lost it with Leps two weeks ago — we threw some sloppy passes and we were just a bit rushed.
“We need to take our time, think about what we’re doing and give each other options.”
She expected her Cutters to be put to the test in a “clean, fast game”.
“Sharks have got really good discipline,” she said.
“It’s just a matter of keeping up with them and not giving them room to do those nice, big, long drives, and just playing our own game.

“We just gotta slow it down, bring the ball down the court properly and make sure our goals all go in.
“Gabby (Walter) has been playing really well in the centre, and I think our defence has been doing really well as well.”
