Eddie Betts is adamant he will remain an Adelaide Crow in 2020.
Betts said on Wednesday morning that recent conversations with Crows coach Don Pyke and football manager Brett Burton left him little doubt he’ll finish his brilliant career in Adelaide.
“Course I’m going to be here,’’ Betts said.
“There has been a lot of rumours the last couple of weeks about me leaving.
“I have spoken to Don Pyke and Brett Burton and they said I’m a required player here at the Adelaide footy club next year,’’ he told FIVEaa with David and Will .
Betts said the rumours started after he was dropped to the SANFL for the first time in his career last month.
“It all started after I got dropped,’’ Betts added.
“What people need to know is that I’m contracted to the Adelaide Football Club for next year.

“That’s where it sits,’’ he said.
Betts also denied reports he was told that he would play a large portion of football in the SANFL next year.
“That’s untrue, I haven’t had that conversation with the football club,’’ he said.
“The way I see it, I’m concentrating on playing the best footy I can, that’s what I’m focusing on,’’ he said.
Betts said despite the speculation surrounding his future he had little interest in leaving SA.
“I don’t think I’ll be talking to other clubs,’’ Betts said.
“I’ve got a young family, it’s a big decision if you want to pack up and leave. It’s a massive decision to move you whole family.
“It drains you. This is the stuff you have to deal with,’’ he said.
