SuperCoach 2024 cheat sheet: Pick a team in 10 minutes
Didn’t get your SuperCoach team in on Thursday night? Don’t panic. Follow this easy guide to be in the hunt for $50,000.
SuperCoach
Don't miss out on the headlines from SuperCoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
There’s still time to join the action in SuperCoach to take on your mates and join the chase for the $50,000 grand prize.
The first game of the SuperCoach season is behind us, but with low scores for popular picks Zac Williams and Josh Gibcus – who might now miss the season – means you are almost better off picking your team today.
All coaches have unlimited trades until the end of round 1 – with players locked as their teams play across the weekend – and after the round finishes we have 40 trades for the rest of the season to fix mistakes, cover injuries and improve our squads.
So, who should you pick? One way to get a competitive squad in quick time is to use Intelligent Autopick to generate a team instantly using our smart technology based on your preferences.
Or you can follow the easy step-by-step guide below to get the team you like.
These options are based on the most popular selections this season and expert analysis of who is likely to score the most points.
A couple of things to note:
1. Some players are listed as dual-position, which means they can be selected in either of their listed positions. For example a MID/FWD can be picked in the midfield or forward line. It’s a good idea to have a few of these players to give your squad extra flexibility.
2. When picking bottom-priced players the most important thing is to select players who will get games – keep an eye on round 1 teams, but the names here are expected to get early opportunities. For full profiles of all this year’s cheapies, check out the Rookie Bible.
3. Scores from Opening Round don’t count in SuperCoach, but they do give us a good idea of who to select from the eight teams that took part. Just remember each of those sides has a bye early in the season, so don’t overload your squad with them.
OK, let’s go.

Once you have a completed squad of 30 players, hit save!
Remember, your squad of 30 players must fit under the $10 million salary cap. If the dollars don’t quite add up, go back and find a cheaper alternative to one of your pricey picks, or if you have money left over, upgrade a cheapie or mid-pricer somewhere on your field.
Now all you have to do is join or create a league to play against your friends and thousands of other SuperCoaches, watch the teams for round 1 to ensure your squad is all good to go (some late bench tinkering is often a good idea) and enjoy the ride.
There is lots of great intel out there to help you on your journey, starting with official SuperCoach accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok – and articles like these:
