FOUR big Saturday afternoon games kick off the third round of the SANFL season which should start sorting the contenders from the pretenders.

Central District will celebrate captain Trent Goodrem’s 200th SANFL game when it welcomes West Adelaide to Elizabeth. The Bloods, coming off a 138-point thumping from North Adelaide, will regain onballer Kaine Stevens from suspension while Conor Noonan will make his league debut. The unbeaten Port Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens will go head to head at Alberton Oval. The Magpies regain more AFL listed talent in Jimmy Toumpas and Jasper Pittard while the Eagles get back excitement machine Jack Lukosius from state under-18 duties. South Adelaide will be out to bounce back from its 48-point loss to Norwood as it takes on an injury-ravaged Adelaide side loaded with top up players. In the 4.10pm game, Glenelg takes on Norwood in what looms as a cracker of a contest. The Tigers have lost both games to start the season, but they impressed in the narrow loss to Port last Friday night. And they are at home. The Redlegs showed their potential with a comfortable win over the Panthers. Brad McKenzie’s inclusion will make a difference to the side as well. The round concludes at Peter Motley Oval on Sunday when premier Sturt takes on North Adelaide.
