NORTH Adelaide can attack the contest against Glenelg at Prospect Oval on Sunday a little less stressed after having its finals spot confirmed.
The Roosters are guaranteed a top-five finish after beating Adelaide last weekend coupled with Central District and West Adelaide losing.
Now the target will be a top-three position and the double chance in the finals.
The Roosters are fourth on the ladder, just one point behind second-placed Eagles and percentage under Sturt.
“There has been a little bit of pressure in the back of the minds of the players, ‘are we playing in the finals, are we not’,” Roosters coach Josh Carr said.
“To have that settled we can approach every game with a little less pressure. Now they know they can concentrate on playing our style of footy.”
The Roosters snapped a three-game losing streak to overcome the Crows in a goal feast when defensive pressure was secondary to attacking football.
Carr is not expecting another shootout against a Tigers outfit coming off three successive wins and playing with confidence.
“You play every game on its merit,” he said, “I’d like to think we will be better defensively, but sometimes things don’t click like that.
“The Bays are playing well as a team. (Tigers coach) Mark (Stone) has got them playing the way he wants and it will be tough, as it was the last time we played them.”
