Ben Brown’s next move has been finalised, moving from North Melbourne to Melbourne.
The Kangaroos forward has been a prolific goal-kicker in recent seasons but was told to find a new home after an injury-hit 2020.
The Demons and Roos came to an agreement on Thursday afternoon that sees North Melbourne receive picks 26 and 33, as well as a future fourth round pick. Melbourne receives pick 28 and a future fourth rounder of its own.
Richmond and St Kilda have also negotiated Jack Higgins’ trade to the Saints. The Tigers premiership winner heads to St Kilda, along with pick 21 and a future fourth rounder, while Richmond receives pick 17 and a future second round pick.
Here are all the moves taking place on the final day:
DOGS NAB UNWANTED PIES SUPERSTAR
The deals continue to roll in as the frantic nature of the Trade Period takes off with unwanted Collingwood midfielder Adam Treloar finding a new home at the Western Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs put negotiations off with Essendon in the final hours of the final day with regards to Josh Dunkley as they turned their attention to keeping him and bringing Treloar on board.
Sam McClure was first to report the Bulldogs’ late change and shortly after the window closed, the Treloar deal was announced. Bringing to an end his nightmare saga with the Pies.
SEN's Sam Edmund noted the deal was completed at 7:29pm with the Dogs giving the Pies pick 14 and a future second-round pick and reported the Pies will be paying $300,000 of his salary every season over the next five-years.
Along with getting Treloar, the Bulldogs receive picks 26, 33 and 42.
CATS PULL OFF LAST SECOND BLOCKBUSTER
On the final stroke of the 2020 Trade Period, Jeremy Cameron is officially joining Geelong. The move came right down to the wire, but AFL media’s Mitch Cleary broke the news the deal had been agreed to.
Geelong made a monster offer to try and lure Cameron away only for the Giants to match and force the clubs to the trade table.
GWS continued to knock back trade offers from Geelong before they agreed to a deal in the final seconds of the trade window.
Fox Sports’ Tom Morris reported the Cats dished up three first round picks to lure the 2019 Coleman Medallist away from the Giants. Those picks were 13, 15 and 20.

HAWKS NAB UNWANTED PIES WINGER
Tom Phillips has become the second Collingwood player to be culled as the club continues to offload salaries.
Hawthorn came to the party and will send the Pies pick 65 in return for getting Phillips who burst onto the scene with a dominant 2018 season.
PORT ADELAIDE TURN TO FANTASIA LAND
Essendon’s Orazio Fantasia is off to Port Adelaide with the clubs agreeing to a trade in the final 15 minutes of the Trade Period.
Fantasia joins the Power along with pick 73 while the Bombers receive pick 29 along with a future third-round pick.
FIRST PIES PLAYER SENT PACKING
A host of Collingwood stars have been thrown on the trade table as the club scampers to reduce their bloated salary cap.
Jaidyn Stephenson is the first big name to be sent out the door with the livewire forward joining North Melbourne.
North receive Stephenson and Atu Bosenavulagi along with pick 39 and send picks 26, 33 and 70 to Collingwood.

BULLDOGS GOING OUT GUNS BLAZING
The Trade Period officially closes at 7:30pm (AEDT) and the Western Bulldogs aren’t going to die wondering as they look to load right up ahead of the 2021 season.
Talks between the club and Essendon have been ongoing as the Bombers attempted to lure midfield star Josh Dunkley away.
But as the hours wind down, The Age’s Sam McClure reported the club is making a major pivot to not only keep hold of Dunkley, but they’re also making a play for unwanted Collingwood star Adam Treloar.

They now want Dunkley and Treloar in the same team next year.
The Dogs have offered a future second round pick for Treloar.
Itâs beginning to get frantic.
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
Alex Witherden will move from Brisbane to West Coast on a two-year deal.
The Lions will receive pick 58 and a future third rounder, while the Eagles get Witherden and pick 86.
COLLINGWOOD’S $1.5 MILLION TRELOAR QUESTION
Treloar is contracted to Collingwood until the end of 2025 but because of his heavily back-ended contract, is being shown the door to help bend the Pies’ salary cap back into shape.
The 27-year-old was adamant he wanted to stay at the club and honour his deal but his relationship with the Magpies may be broken beyond repair.
He’s made contact with the Western Bulldogs, who are waiting on the results of a medical before deciding if they will make an official play.
SEN’s Sam Edmund reports Collingwood will need to pay $300,000 of Treloar’s $900,000-a-year salary, because the Dogs are only willing to cough up $600,000 for the gun midfielder.
“Will the Pies pay $1.5 million — $300,000 a year — over the next five years just to get Treloar out of the club?” Edmund asked.
Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph told Trading Day Treloar is “broken hearted” with how things have played out, and it’s possible he may actually endure one last awkward season at Collingwood before flying the coop.
“He just feels like as much as he might have to stay at Collingwood if the Bulldogs withdraw their interest — and that medical has not yet come through despite the meeting — he just can’t see any way in which he’ll be there, given the way that the club has treated him,” Ralph said.
“I think Collingwood just has to get him out. Call it $250,000 of a $900,000-a-year contract, they need to move on this cap space to try and stay in the window.”
St Kilda great Leigh Montagna added: “It would look bad on Collingwood now if he actually came back to the club. There’s no way the Collingwood Football Club could try and save face with Adam Treloar walking back through the door.”

CAMERON SITUATION A ‘VOLCANO WAITING TO EXPLODE’
GWS and Geelong have been unable to agree on terms to trade Cameron, who wants to move to Victoria next year. The Giants matched the Cats’ monster offer in a free agency first, but so far the two parties haven’t been able to strike a deal.
Geelong has three first round picks and AFL legend turned media personality Kane Cornes believes GWS wants all three if it’s to release the key forward.
“Clearly the asking price, and I think rightly so for the Giants, is those three first round picks Geelong has,” Cornes told AFL Trade Radio.
“And currently all three of them aren’t on the table, I’m talking about (picks) 13, 15 and 20, but they have been pushed back and on draft night they will be pushed back.
“I just think that those three picks are fair and I think it is a fair price to ask for Jeremy Cameron, a player that Geelong is paying $950,000 over six years.
“I get the feeling Geelong will need to make this happen with the threat of Cameron going to the draft and perhaps risking a North Melbourne making a play for him in the draft.”
Speaking on Nine, Cornes added: “The fact Geelong haven’t put pick 13 in front of the Giants for Jeremy Cameron, who’s the best forward in the game, is comical.
“If I’m the Giants I’m saying, ‘What are you doing? This is a trade situation and you’re not even going to put your first pick up for the moment’.
“This is a deal … that will get done but it’s just been an absolute waste of two teams trying to haggle for something that eventually will happen.”
Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph told Fox Footy’s Trading Day: “This is a volcano waiting to blow — this is Vesuvius.
“GWS are saying, ‘We’ve got salary cap room, we’ve got a pick before you — we’ll just get him’.
“It’s such a high-risk strategy. I can’t see any way Geelong in the end won’t have to give up close to three first rounders.”
STEPHENSON STILL UNDECIDED
Stephenson was the 2018 Rising Star but has fallen out of favour with Collingwood after a disappointing 2020, and is being ushered out as part of the club’s salary cap dump.
North Melbourne is reportedly only willing to offer a second-round pick for the 21-year-old, according to The Age, while the Pies will consider keeping him on their books unless they receive a first-rounder in return.
The Kangaroos have tabled a five-year, $2.5 million offer to Stephenson, who would like to stay in the black and white but is considering his options.
Edmund tweeted: “Flip a coin on Jaidyn Stephenson. The offer is there from North Melbourne, but unclear if Collingwood is willing chip in some $$.
“Stephenson was planning to sleep on it last night, but everything points to this going down to the wire. Big decision.”
The Trade Period ends tonight at 7.30pm AEDT.
