19-year-old man, Will Oliver, has died in hospital following a crash in Oatlands

Another young life has been lost as a result of a crash on a Tasmanian road last week, police have confirmed. Read the latest.

Tasmania Police have confirmed 19-year-old man Will Oliver has died in hospital as a result of a crash on Midland Highway near Oatlands on 14 October.

The man was a passenger in a gold Kia Sportage Wagon which was travelling north when it collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction about 12.15am.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition and has since passed away.

The driver of the Kia, Jacob Donohue, 19, sadly died at the scene.

The man driving the truck was not physically injured in the crash.

The crash investigation is ongoing, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
