Woman charged, man in RAH after stabbing at Paynehem South

Police have charged a woman after a man was stabbed in Payneham South. It’s the third stabbing in Adelaide in a week.

A woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed a man known to her in Payneham South.

The incident occurred at a unit on Douglas Place about 8.30pm Tuesday, with police and paramedics rushing to the scene.

The victim, a Pooraka man, 47, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A Payneham South woman at the property, 44, was arrested and has since been charged with aggravated causing harm.

She was refused bail, and was expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

It follows a serious incident in Salisbury North last week.

It is believed a local man, 23, was at an undisclosed location before he returned to an address at Kulbina Drive with stab wounds on Thursday, January 6.

He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, suspects remain on the run after a roadside stabbing at Kilburn on Wednesday, January 5.

Two men were walking along Northcote St when a white Holden Commodore stopped near them, and four men got out.

An altercation broke out and one of the men stabbed the victim in the legs with a knife before the group drove away in the Commodore.

The victim was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
