A woman who managed to film a cyclist allegedly exposing himself as he rode past has spoken out about her ordeal, as police say it could be linked to another incident in nearby Glenelg.

Two incidents involving a cyclist following women and behaving indecently towards them in the western suburbs could be linked, police say.

Police have released a picture of the alleged offender, with two similar incidents reported last month.

In the first, a woman was walking along Miller St at Glengowrie about 6.30am on June 8 when a man on a bike behaved indecently towards her.

The woman kept walking but the man followed her on to nearby Beadnall Tce before he rode off.

The woman filmed the incident, and told 7 News she hoped the offender was identified soon.

“I just hope he gets caught so no other females have to go through (this),” she said.

“I don’t want him to see that I’m scared with him … I’m an independent woman I can walk on my own, I can do everything on my own without getting scared of him.”

The woman said she had been targeted by the man repeatedly over the past 10 months, with most incidents occurring near the Glengowrie tram stop at around 6.30am.

With police patrols being increased in the area, the woman warned the offender to “be alert, everyone’s looking for you”.

The suspect is described as being caucasian, aged in his 30s, medium build with long pants, a black jumper, hi-vis backpack with a dark helmet.

More than a week later, a teenage girl was walking along Ronald Tce at Glenelg North about 7.45pm on June 23 when a man on a bike rode towards her and behaved indecently.

The victim described the suspect as being aged in his 50s with white grey hair, white shoes, brown pants and medium build.

Police are investigating both matters and ask anyone who recognises the man pictured or who has further information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
