Cyclist caught on camera allegedly acting indecently in western suburbs

A cyclist has been photographed after allegedly acting indecently towards women and following them – with police saying two cases may be linked.

Two incidents involving men following females on a push bike and behaving indecently towards them in the western suburbs could be linked, police say.

Police have released a picture of the alleged offender, with two similar incidents reported last month.

In the first, a woman was walking along Miller St at Glengowrie about 6.30am on June 8 when a man on a bike behaved indecently towards her.

The woman kept walking but the man followed her on to nearby Beadnall Tce before he rode off.

The suspect is described as being caucasian, aged in his 30s, medium build with long pants, a black jumper, hi-vis backpack with a dark helmet.

More than a week later, a teenage girls was walking along Ronald Tce at Glenelg North about 7.45pm on June 23 when a man on a bike rode towards her and behaved indecently.

The victim described the suspect as being aged in his 50s with white grey hair, white shoes, brown pants and medium build.

Police are investigating both matters and ask anyone who recognises the man pictured or who has further information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

It comes aftter a mother issued a warning about an unrelated incident in which two girls were allegedly stalked by a man who signalled to them to get into his car in Adelaide’s north.

The teens, one aged 15, were walking along Glenroy St at Athol Park earlier in July when they say they were approached by a man in a car.

The man was apparently gesturing at the girls to get into his car, and allegedly approached them multiple times, prompting one of the victims to start filming.

A mother of one of the girls, who did not wish to be named, urged parents to remind their children not to interact with strangers.

“The girls told him no and to go away,” she told 7 News.

“The girls made it very obvious that he was giving them unwanted attention, and asked him a numerous amount of times to leave them alone.

She said kids should be able to safely walk the streets alone.

“Sit down with your children, and have a good chat with them, have a safety plan put in place,” she said.

Police say they have spoken to the man who denied the allegations and provided an alternative version of events.

Following investigations including speaking to an independent witness, police say they were satisfied no criminal offence took place.
