Two people have died after a two-car crash on the highway between Port Augusta and Whyalla.

Two people are dead after a two-car crash at Lincoln Gap between Port Augusta and Whyalla on the Upper Spencer Gulf.
Police and emergency services were called to scene on the Lincoln Hwy about 7.30am on Wednesday, near the Eyre Hwy intersection, after reports of a crash between a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota HiLux.
Both drivers, a 37-year-old woman from Whyalla and a 35-year-old man from Whyalla Sturt, died at the scene.
A passenger in the Toyota HiLux, a 27-year-old Whyalla Stuart man, has been taken to Whyalla Hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Major Crash remain on scene and road closures are in place with traffic, heading south on Lincoln Hwy toward Whyalla, being diverted via Eyre Hwy through Iron Knob.
The crash is about two kilometres from a toxic tyre fire burning in two storage tanks alongside the highway, which the CFS warned could burn for weeks.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
The man and the woman are the 25th and 26th lives lost on SA roads this year.
