Motorcycle rider caught travelling at extreme speed on popular highway
A motorcyclist has lost his licence after he was caught travelling at extreme speeds on a popular highway.

A man has lost his licence after police caught him allegedly riding his motorcycle 90km/h over the speed limit on Tuesday night.
Police detected a Honda CBR929, around 9.40pm on Lonsdale Hwy, Hallett Cove, travelling 170k/h in an 80km/h zone.
The 40-year-old man was stopped and immediately issued a 12-month loss of licence.
The Christie Downs man was reported for extreme speed and has had his bike impounded for 28 days.
The man will appear in court at a later date.
This comes after an L-plater was caught allegedly drug-driving 143km/h over the speed limit last month at Waterloo Corner.
The 20-year-old man was reported for aggravated extreme speed, driving in a dangerous manner, breach of learner’s permit and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
He lost his licence on the spot for 12 months, and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days.
