Man seriously injuried after truck and car collide at Murray Bridge

A 60-year-old man has suffered serious injuries after a crash at Murray Bridge on Monday night.

The passenger of a station wagon is lucky to be alive after a crash at Murray Bridge on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mannum Rd and Reedy Creek Rd at about 9pm after reports of a collision between a truck and a station wagon.

The passenger in the car, a 60-year-old Jervois man, was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with critical injuries.

Police understand that his condition is now serious but non-life threatening.

The driver of the station wagon, a 63-year-old Jervois woman, escaped the crash with minor injuries.

The truck driver, a 50-year-old man from Victoria, also escaped the crash with minor injuries.

Local traffic police are continuing to investigate the crash.

Police have referred to the incident as a “close call” and have asked for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
