An elderly woman remains in a serious condition in hospital following a house fire in Seaton on Tuesday.
The woman, believed to be in her 90s, suffered the injuries after her home became engulfed in flames in Adelaide’s west at around 12:15pm on Tuesday, as two tradies rescued her from the inferno.
Phone camera footage obtained by 7NEWS Adelaide from the backyard shows people yelling that a woman is inside the house, as the camera pans, showing the fire spreading from the house into the backyard.
“There’s a lady there … she’s trying to get the fire out,” a man said.
A bystander out the front of the house also filmed the fire, with the person behind the camera unsure if anyone was inside.
“I hope there’s no one inside,” she said.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the house extensively damaged as a result of the fire.
Police and MFS Fire Cause Investigators do not consider the fire suspicious, and believe an electrical fault to be the cause.
