Footage has emerged of a small child about to walk onto a busy road and into oncoming traffic before a driver slams the brakes and gets out to help.
The small child who appears to be wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and no shoes can be seen from about to cross from the lights into oncoming traffic.
The incident is believed to have occurred on the corner of Regency Road and Galway Ave at Broadview at around dusk on Monday night.
The footage, obtained by 7News Adelaide, shows the child just before they walk onto the road into oncoming traffic. A car slams their brakes only metres from the child before a man and woman jump out of the car to pick the child up.
The harrowing incident comes after more dashcam footage emerged of the moment a toddler wandered unattended into oncoming traffic on the Salisbury Hwy earlier this month.
The driver with the dashcam stopped the car while the vehicle’s passenger ran out to rescue the child and return her to her father. No one was injured.
A similar incident occurred in August when two toddlers were filmed at a busy main road after making a get away from a Blair Athol childcare centre.
