SA Police, emergency crews called to scene as body found in the water near Port Adelaide

Emergency services have been called to Port Adelaide where a body has been removed from the water.

Emergency services were called to Port Adelaide after the body of a person was found floating in the water.

Crews were deployed to Cape York Ave, New Port just after 11.30am on Tuesday morning after reports of the body.

About five SA police officers, including members of the Water Operations Unit, remained at scene where a body was discovered at New Port on Tuesday afternoon.

About five officers were joined by Water Operations Unit members after the body was found near New Port.

Around 11.30am, the body was pulled from the water near Cape Yorke Ave and Panama Drive, which is surrounded by newly built and under construction townhouses.
