Serious crash at Eastwood involving pedestrian and car causes peak-hour chaos

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a crash at Eastwood on Tuesday night.
About 4.10pm, emergency services were called to Greenhill Rd after reports that a car had struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 40-year-old Glandore man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, a 39-year-old man from Henley Beach South, was not physically injured in the crash.
Westbound traffic was down to one lane approaching Glen Osmond Rd for several hours while the scene was cleared.
Police say investigations into the crash are continuing.
It comes in the same month as a similar incident, where a 38-year-old Rostrevor man suffered critical injuries after being hit by a car at Paradise in Adelaide’s northeast on February 6.
Emergency services were called to Darley Road about midnight, after reports that he had been struck by a car.
The man was taken to hospital and treated for critical injuries.
