Police seek public’s help in identifying Gawler footpath robbery suspect
Two men brandishing weapons have assaulted and demanded cash from two victims outside of a Gawler hotel.

Two armed men are on the run after a robbery at a Gawler hotel turned violent, with police releasing CCTV footage and pleading for the public’s help to identify the suspects.
Police said two people were leaving a Gawler hotel on Nineteenth St about 2:30am on Friday, when a man brandishing a firearm stopped them and demanded cash.
Seconds later, a second suspect approached them and struck one victim in the legs with a pole.
One of the suspects then reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole her black handbag.
After the attack, both suspects ran west towards the Gawler train station and were last seen heading north, according to police.
One victim was treated by ambulances at the scene with minor injuries, while the second was taken to hospital.
Police have described the one of the suspects as a man of caucasian appearance with a heavy build, wearing a dark-coloured top with a motif across the front, dark-coloured trousers and a dark hood or balaclava covering his face.
The second suspect is described as a caucasian man with a heavy build, wearing all black-coloured clothing with white writing on the lower right leg of his pants. He was carrying a black pole.
