Police search for pair who fled rollover at Brompton, while drink driver arrested at Largs North

Police are hunting two young men who crash their stolen car into innocent motorists Port Rd after refusing to stop for patrols.

Police are searching for two men who were seen fleeing a car that flipped in Adelaide’s inner-north, while a woman is set to face court after her car hit a parked vehicle and she allegedly fled.

Patrols tried to stop a Toyota sedan on Chief St in Brompton but the vehicle failed to stop and turned into Port Rd, before it collided with another car and flipped on to its roof.

The two male occupants of the Toyota were then seen fleeing from the scene of the crash.

Two women from the second car needed the help of emergency services to get out of their vehicle.

Checks on the Toyota sedan revealed it had been stolen from a Brompton address earlier in the evening.

Both women were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for assessment.

One woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the second woman was released uninjured.

The male suspects are described as being of Aboriginal appearance and aged between 16-20 years.

Police patrols and dog operations unit searched the surrounding area to try to find the suspects but with no luck.

Investigations into the matter are continuing and police are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.

Meantime, an alleged drink driver will face court after she crashed at Largs North in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Strathfield Tce and Railway Tce after a silver Mitsubishi sedan hit a parked Toyota HiLux just after 2.20am.

Witnesses of the incident told police the driver and two occupants of the Mitsubishi sedan ran from the scene.

Patrols and a police dog searched the area and tracked down the driver and passengers to a nearby street.

The driver was arrested after a brief conversation with all occupants of the vehicle/

The 21-year-old female driver from Largs North was also breath tested and allegedly returned a positive result of .139, nearly three times the legal limit.

The woman was charged with drink driving, driving without due care, leaving the scene of an accident and driving unlicensed.

She also received a six-month immediate loss of licence.

She was bailed to attend Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on June 20.

This comes after a 20-year-old man had a lucky escape after his car crashed into a light pole, and flipped on to its roof at Torrens Park.

Just after 5.30am, emergency services were called to Belair Rd after reports that a Mitsubishi ute had crashed into a light pole on Sunday.

The ute had rolled on to its roof and brought the power lines down.

Belair Rd was forced to close to all traffic on Sunday morning at the intersection of Springbank Rd and Blythewood Rd while emergency services worked at the scene.
