Police hunt for six suspects involved in two separate robberies at Newton and Modbury last month

Police are hunting two groups of suspects from two incidents in Newton and Modbury. Do you know these suspects?

Police are on a manhunt to find six suspects involved in separate incidents, after two service stations in Newton and Modbury were robbed of cash and cigarettes last month.

Eastern District CIB Detectives are pleaded to the public for assisting to help find four men who allegedly robbed a service station with weapons last month.

Police have now released CCTV of the suspects in a bid to identify them.

Police said the four men entered the Hamilton Terrace, Newton, service station armed with knives just before midnight on Tuesday, August 22.

The men jumped the counter, stealing cigarettes and raiding the cash register before fleeing.

They were last seen heading towards Gorge Rd.

The staff member was not injured during the terrifying ordeal.

Despite an extensive search of the area, police were unable to locate the suspects.

In an unrelated incident, police also released CCTV footage in hopes of finding two suspects involved in a robbery at Modbury last month.

Police said two suspects, one armed with a knife, entered the service station on North East Road at about 4.20am on Wednesday August 23.

The staff member did not sustain any physical injuries during the robbery.

The suspects stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot, heading towards North East Rd.

One suspect, who was holding the knife, is described as 170cm tall, wearing a beige and black hooded jumper, grey tracksuit pants and a glove on his left hand.

The other suspect was described as 178cm tall, wearing a black jacket with a grey hooded top underneath, beige pants and black trainers.

Police are urging anyone with information related to either incident that may assist with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
