A 26-year-old motorcyclist has been caught on CCTV riding at extreme speeds in the northern suburbs on Monday.

Police alleged about 1.19pm PolAir crews spotted a red Suzuki motorcycle without plates travelling at about 220km per hour in a 90km per hour zone on Port Wakefield Road at Bolivar.

The bike allegedly kept speeding on St. Kilda Rd at St. Kilda and reached a speed of 184km per hour in an 80km per hour zone. The rider was also seen allegedly overtaking traffic on the wrong side of the road around blind corners and doing wheelies.

PolAir was able to track the bike to an address in St. Kilda where patrols on the ground where able to arrest him.

Checks on the motorcycle revealed it was stolen from Waterloo Corner a few months ago.

The man was charged with multiple offences including driving at an extreme speed, drive while disqualified and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

This comes as a man was caught allegedly six times over the limit after being stopped at West Terrace on Monday afternoon.

About 12.40pm police at a driver testing station on West Terrace, Adelaide stopped a Toyota sedan and breath tested the driver.

The 34 year old man from St Mary’s allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.310, more than six times the legal limit of a full licence holder.

The man was issued with an instant loss of licence notice for 12 months and his car was impounded.

He will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
