Man placed in chokehold during brawl at Parabanks Shopping Centre in Adelaide’s north

A shocking brawl between two men in front of horrified Christmas shoppers inside a busy Adelaide shopping centre has been caught on camera. See the video.

Two men were captured in a terrifying fight inside a busy shopping centre in Adelaide’s northern suburbs this week, with one placed in a chokehold as shoppers watched in disbelief.

The footage taken by an onlooker at Parabanks Shopping Centre on Monday shows two men – who have not been identified – grappling and brawling, surrounded by helpless shoppers.

A security guard attempts to break up the brawling men.

One man can be seen standing over the other man lying on the ground, kicking and kneeing him, as the other man attempts to defend himself, before he breaks away.

Seconds later, they begin scuffling again and the first man throws the other on the ground and places him a tight chokehold.

A woman was also seen kicking the defenceless man throughout the altercation, as he lay on the ground.

A spokesman for SAPOL said the incident was not reported to police.

Shopping centre management has been contacted for comment.
