A man has died after crashing his car in the state’s Mid North overnight.

A man has died after a crash in the state’s Mid North.

The silver Volkswagen van rolled on Willowie Rd at Willowie about 12.50am Sunday.

The driver and sole occupant in the car, a Mawson Lakes man, 63, sustained serious injuries.

He was taken to the Orroroo hospital where he sadly died.

Major Crash officers are travelling to the scene on Sunday to examine the circumstances that led to the crash.

It follows a fatal crash at the Yorke Peninsula at Boors Plain last weekend which cost the life of a woman, 66.

The crash happened on August 20 when two cars collided at the interception of Kadina and Cunliffe Rd about 1.30pm.

A Yorke Peninsula woman died at the scene while the driver in the other car, a man, 59, was taken to the Wallaroo Hospital with minor injuries.
