A young man killed a motorbike crash on Tuesday night leaves behind a grieving partner and unborn child, his best friend has said.
Jordan Wiseman, 25, of Seaton, collided with a car while riding on Seaview Rd and died at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics to revive him.
He was the first of two motorcyclists killed in collisions, and the fourth to die in a fatal road crash on SA roads, this week.
Fellow motorcyclist Reece Formosa, 34, was a close friend for seven years and said he eventually became a mentor figure to Jordan.
“The last message he sent me yesterday was, “Love you bro, catch up with you later’,” Mr Formosa told The Advertiser.
“And now he’s dead … 25-year-olds aren’t supposed to die like this.”
Mr Formosa said Jordan “loved his job” as an electrician and was “doing really well” in his studies when he recently found out his partner was pregnant.
He said Jordan told him he was “a changed man”.
“I remembered the smile on his face, it’s like he completed his journey,” Mr Formosa said.
“We were talking three or four times a week about dad duties, what it’s like, what do you do here or there.
“He went through some seriously hard times over the last few years … but he was the most resilient, loyal dude, he always pushed through.”
Mr Formosa said alongside his motorcycle, Jordan loved boxing and was an “all-rounder in everything”.
“He was just one of those kids who when you meet him, you just can’t dislike him … He just got along with everybody, there was nobody in the world who hated him,” he said.
“He would just crack you up … Telling us stories about the things he got up to with his friends would just have us in stitches.
“He was the guy who could draw the attention of everyone in the room.”
Mr Wiseman was riding on Seaview Rd with a Toyota Yaris when he crashed after attempting to overtake the car as it was parking.
His death marks the 17th fatal motorcycle crash on South Australian roads this year, compared with nine at the same time last year.
